Youth Forum 2018

Congratulations to our school's forum team for winning this year's Youth Forum Competition, Sandakan district level. This competition was held at SMK Tinusa, Sandakan in conjunction with the

Malay Language Carnival. There were 8 schools in Sandakan took part in this competition. The schools involved are SMK Gum-Gum, SMK Sandakan, SM Sung Siew, SMK Agama Tun Juhar, SMK Datuk Pengiran Galpam, SMK Elopura Bestari and SMK Elopura 2. This event was organised by a joint force between Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Sandakan (PPD) and Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka (DBP).

Our school sent 5 Upper Form 6 students to compete with other schools. They are Mohd Hesham Bin Haris, Mohd Hafizi Bin Hussne, Mohd Walafuddin Maliq Bin Ahmad, Nur Syahirah Idayu Binti Hussne and Mariana Binti Mohamad. Our school's team took home championship trophies, books published by DBP and certificates of appreciation.

Meanwhile, Best Chairman and Best Forum Member also went to our school's team members, Mohd Hesham and Nur Syahirah Idayu respectively.

Our school is expected to send these 5 students to Kota Kinabalu in June for another forum competition.

We hope that the team will bring back the championship trophy for the next youth forum competition. A big thank you to our school's team for making the school's pride soars high.
